The archaeological site called Maqine is located on the northwestern side of the town of Rahovec. This site extends on both sides of a small stream, but the greatest concentration is on the left side of the stream, which flows in an east-west direction, in private fields. The site lies on sloping, flat terrain facing west and covers an area of about 3 ha.
During the survey of the terrain, archaeological material from different periods was collected, beginning with the Early Neolithic, the Late Eneolithic, the Bronze Age and Iron Age, as well as the classical Roman period. This archaeological site is of particular importance because it preserves various deposits from several prehistoric and ancient periods.
