Maja e Shkodranit (Shkodrani's Peak)

Maja e Shkodranit

Four martyrs fell at this place, of whom three are from the municipality of Rahovec, while one is Arian Brahimi from Shkodra. Why is it called Maja e Shkodranit?!

The naming of this memorial complex was done by the Municipality of Rahovec in 2011, in agreement with the organisations that emerged from the KLA war in Rahovec, to honour the memory of the young man who came from Great Britain, in the bloody fighting of July 1998, specifically on 21 July 1998, in which SHKODRANI was sacrificed together with Mizahir Isma, Esherefedin Kastrati and Bekim Isma.

This place, besides being a memorial monument with plaques bearing the KLA symbol, also has the plaques dedicated to the four martyrs, a stone fortress, a summer amphitheatre, a walking trail, a trail for cyclists and a road for cars; it is also a natural, tourist, recreational and sports monument. The view from there is breathtaking. Maja e Shkodranit is at an altitude of 761 m above sea level.
