The Institute – Department of Viticulture and Winemaking

The Department of Viticulture and Winemaking (DVV), within the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, is responsible for the management of vineyard assets and winemaking in the Republic of Kosovo.

The activities of DVV – Rahovec focus on the Viticulture and Wine sector in the entire Wine Region of Kosovo, with the aim of creating a suitable, competitive and sustainable environment for grape growers, producers and traders of wine, rakia and other products from grapes, wine and fruit wines.
The Department of Viticulture and Winemaking includes:

1. Viticulture Division
2. Winemaking Division
3. Division for early warning of diseases and pests
4. Laboratory Division for chemical analysis of wine.
